Description
The long version, sailing north with the current and stopping where the four-night boats do not: Esna, El Kab, and a full day moored at Aswan before departure. Seven nights aboard a smaller ship, forty-eight guests at most.
The pace is deliberately unhurried. Two sites a day at most, long lunches, and whole afternoons under way with nothing scheduled.

Itinerary
Embark at Aswan
Board in the afternoon and moor overnight at Aswan. Welcome dinner on board with the evening free.
Abu Simbel
A pre-dawn departure by road to reach Abu Simbel as the sun strikes the facade, returning to the ship by early afternoon.
Philae and the cataract
Philae by motorboat, the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk, then a felucca around Elephantine and Kitchener’s Island at golden hour.
Kom Ombo, sail north
Kom Ombo in the morning right on the bank, then a long afternoon under way with nothing scheduled.
Edfu and El Kab
Horus at Edfu by caleche, then the rock tombs at El Kab, which the shorter boats sail straight past.
Esna and the lock
The temple of Khnum at Esna, sunk below the modern town, then the passage through the Esna lock.
Luxor west bank
Moor at Luxor. The Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut and the Colossi in the morning, the afternoon at leisure on board.
Karnak, then disembark
Karnak at opening hour before the coaches, then back for breakfast and transfer to Luxor airport or your onward hotel.
