Who is responsible for your data

Sunrise Egypt Tours, Corniche el-Nil, Luxor, Egypt, is the data controller for information collected through this website. For any privacy question, write to privacy@sunriseegypttours.com.

What we collect

When you send an availability request we collect your name, email address, phone number, travel dates, number of travellers and anything you write in the notes field. When you book we additionally collect passport details where a supplier requires them, and payment confirmation records. We do not store card numbers at any point; card payments are handled by our payment provider.

We also collect basic technical data through server logs and analytics: IP address, browser, pages viewed and referring site. This is used in aggregate to understand which programmes people look at.

Why we hold it

• To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote. Without your contact details and dates we cannot reply.
• To deliver a booking. Hotels, cruisers, guides and airlines need passenger names, and some need passport details.
• To meet legal obligations. Egyptian tourism and tax rules require us to retain booking records.
• To improve the site. Aggregate analytics only, never used to profile you individually.

Who we share it with

Only the suppliers delivering your programme, and only what they need: your hotel gets names and dates, your guide gets names and pickup details, an airline gets what the ticket requires. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Our website is hosted with Hostinger, and enquiry emails are handled through our own mail provider. Both process data on our instruction.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted after 24 months. Booking records are kept for seven years to satisfy Egyptian tax and tourism record-keeping requirements, then deleted. Analytics data is retained in aggregate only.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct anything wrong, or delete it where we have no legal obligation to keep it. You can also object to marketing at any time; we send very little of it and every message has a one-click unsubscribe. Email privacy@sunriseegypttours.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

This site sets a small number of cookies: one to remember your cookie choice, one for session handling if you submit a form, and analytics cookies which you can decline. Declining analytics does not affect anything you can do on the site.

Children

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16 other than the first name and age of children included in a family booking, supplied by the adult making it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and change the date below. Material changes affecting existing bookings will be emailed to you.
